If elected, I vow to always put our community first. Pakenham, Officer, and surrounding suburbs have seen significant growth, with Cardinia Shire’s population projected to reach 200,000 by 2041. It is my priority to enhance our shire’s liveability now and into the future.
For over 12 years, I’ve volunteered with various local groups and organizations such as Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Center, Emerald Community House, Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House, Country Women’s Association of Victoria, Officer branch, Cardinia Interfaith Network, Dream Harmony Inc, Officer and District Resident’s Association, Pakenham Rotary Club, Cardinia Food Movement, Pakenham Men’s Shed, Yakkerboo festival committee, Pakenham Library, Sikh community, local schools and many more to strengthen our community. As your local councillor, I will continue this commitment, ensuring our council prioritizes creating clean, safe, vibrant, and affordable places where people want to live and work.
I've been listening to local residents and businesses across Cardinia and the message is clear: the rising cost-of-living is hitting our community hard. Under ever-increasing costs for groceries, fuel, insurance and energy, I will:
Council is funded by the people - I promise to serve as your community advocate and with integrity.
Cardinia deserves high-quality roads and public assets, but it also needs preserved and well-maintained green spaces.
The value of accessible open spaces has never been more important and I strongly believe that it should be a priority of council to identify locations that can be re-naturalised and preserved for future generations to enjoy. My focus is on maintaining community assets like parks, reserves, footpaths, roads, swimming pools and other infrastructures.
A sustainable environment is crucial for the health and prosperity of our community. I am ready to continue the efforts of the Cardinia Shire in protecting our natural assets while reducing waste and pollution.
A focus on better planning and sequencing of projects across the shire, leading to less disruption on the daily commute to work, school or the shops. Also, identify the cause of excessive planning and permit processing times and work to resolve them for efficient and productive outcomes.
I would love to hear about your expectations from the council and your ideas on improvement opportunities that we can work on together. Please drop a line.
